Equinor equity production, third quarter 2026
2,166 mboe/day
Level with 2,165 mboe/day in the second quarter and 2 percent above the third quarter of 2025. Norwegian segment output held at 1,421 mboe/day as Halten East, Verdande and new wells offset natural decline and unplanned losses at Johan Castberg and Troll. Equinor raised its 2026 production growth guidance to around 4 percent.

Norwegian liquids production, September 2026
1.90 million bbl/day
Oil 1.73 million, NGL 154,000 and condensate 16,000 barrels per day. Oil ran 0.7 percent above the Directorate's forecast; the month carried seasonal maintenance, against 2.07 million barrels per day in August.

Down 1.6 billion Sm³ on the month; average gas production of 298.4 million Sm³ per day ran 6.7 percent below forecast.

Total petroleum production, 2026 to date
181.7 million Sm³ o.e.
About 181.7 million Sm³ of oil equivalents so far in 2026: roughly 80.7 of oil, 8.7 of NGL and condensate, and 92.2 of gas for sale. The total is 5.1 million Sm³ o.e. ahead of the same period in 2025.

Fields in production
97 fields
97 fields were producing on the Norwegian continental shelf at year-end 2025, of 129 that have produced since 1971. A further 91 discoveries were being considered for development.

Norway's share of EU and UK gas consumption
About 30%
The Norwegian continental shelf also supplies about 14 percent of oil consumption in the EU and the UK, per the Ministry of Energy's revised national budget statement.
